Westcott Community Garden

At WESTfest in 2021 we collected ideas and gave people a chance to vote for which projects people would like to see in our Westcott community. A community garden was the idea which won the most support and we at Green Westcott, listened and have been beavering away over the past 18 months to make this happen. We have had several false starts and gone down many rabbit holes (not literally!) but we have finally secured a plot to bring this venture to life! You can read more about progress here.

Ideas to develop…

Some of the other ideas generated were:

Tool/Toy Share – some tools are only needed occasionally or toys are quickly grown out of, could we create a ‘library’ of tools and toys to share as needed?

Film Night/Discussion group – a chance to expand knowledge and understanding together

Nature Trail – an educational nature trail through the village and its surroundings

Repair Cafe – share your skills in helping others repair worn clothing, bikes and other items
